This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are full of wonderful ideas about math, literature, science, and social studies. They love sharing their thinking. While some students can immediately share their thoughts with the class, many need the opportunity to get their ideas down on paper or whiteboard first.
White boards, markers, and pencils give students the ability to process their thinking through drawing representations, making charts, jotting notes, and making calculations before sharing with a peer, small group, or entire class.
This is especially helpful for multilingual learners.
In addition to giving students a chance to process their ideas through drawing and writing, students have a visual that will make their ideas clearer to everyone.
