Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful Kindergarten students are not only new to the educational environment but new to the country. My 25 learners are navigating this new experience while also learning English. Although each child is faced with numerous challenges, my goal is to foster a love of learning as their educational journey begins.

My Project

My bilingual kindergarteners are working on their letter recognition and sounds in both English and Spanish. They thrive during hands-on activities and these whiteboards would allow the opportunity to show me what they know!

When I ask them to write the letter a certain sound makes, they will be able to write their answer and hold up their boards.

Additionally, the whiteboards would provide students the opportunity to practice forming their letters. I would be able to informally asses them instantly and it will assist in guiding me during further instruction.
