My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher in Utah who believes learning is important and who loves teaching. My students are very eager to learn. I believe it is important to allow students to be creative in their learning and showing what they know, so they will enjoy it more.

Curious, creative, knowledge seekers describe my students.

My students have different backgrounds and learning styles. Because of this, they need varying methods to help learning and to express what they know. For this reason, I am always looking to integrate resources to help my differing students learn.

My Project

There are many ways I can use these resources to provide a learning environment to help my students show what they know.

I will be able to use these resources over and over, year after year.

My project is important because it would provide meaningful resources that can be used during small group and whole class time. The writing tablets can be used during small reading and small math group time for students to do their work and show what they've learned, without the mess of a chalkboard or whiteboard and markers. The privacy partitions will allow my students to work independently without the distractions of others. This can help them concentrate more and be more creative. Students need a brain break every once and awhile, so they don't get tired (or so their brain doesn't hurt - using the words of my students). The cup stacking sets will give them a break from regular learning, while challenging their coordination and concentration skills.
