Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Social Worker, I interact with over 900 middle school students every day, many of whom do not have stable housing or transportation. The state of FL provides limited resources, and the tumultuous nature of their home-life makes it almost impossible for my kiddos to have consistent attendance.

Currently, there are 40 promising students who just need an extra incentive to make it to school on time.

I have been buying snacks, toys, books, and other prizes for those who have made a valiant effort to improve their attendance, and it's been working! The problem is, I am on a teacher's salary and have run out of money to incentivize my kiddos.

Your donation can go a long way in helping to set up our students for success. We would be honored to have you join our quest to increase student attendance here in Tampa, FL!
