Help me give my students sewing machines to explore their creativity. We are going to write our own plays. Then we plan to make our own puppets to present to students in kindergarten class.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will create a puppet made with fabric to the play they will write. Students will learn to work with their classmates in coming up with story they would like to write. They will also select the setting and characters while working in groups of 4. Students will be able to use various types of fabrics and then learn to sew their characters.
Sewing will also help them see the importance of learning measurements and applying these skill in the real world experience.
Finally, students will be able to present Students will learn great communication skills with this project by writing a play and reading it to a kindergarten student.
