My Students

My students are incredible humans already and with the proper guidance, I know they can be the next big wave of change in the world. However, most of them do not come from fruitful backgrounds. This can shape students in all sorts of ways, positively and negatively and I am here to give them as much positive as I can. As an educator, I believe in doing and I think will a little more funding my classroom can be more than enough for seventh graders to excel further than their wildest dreams.

In my classroom, students have the freedom to be themselves and my job is to help them be that.

Through English education students can learn more about themselves and learn how to show that. Through reading and writing, I try to show students their budding individuality and work to help them articulate that in a creative and professional manner.

Unfortunately, as a newer teacher, we are not always given all of the tools we need to succeed. While being resourceful is important, I believe that this program is a wonderful way to get teachers the funding they deserve.

My Project

Through this project, I am looking to fund a document camera for my students. In the past, I have had this luxury and I already miss it! I loved being able to put worksheets on the board and annotating texts with students in real-time. This allowed me to show my students exactly how I did it and allowed them to do it more clearly themselves.

In order for my students to do, I want them to be able to see how to do it first!

Having a document camera will allow me to do just this. While English is a subject that can be more verbal, it always helps to show them exactly how to do it. After all, seeing is believing!
