Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is how proud they are of who they are and where they come from. They bring rich cultural backgrounds, languages, and perspectives into our classroom every day—and that diversity is our greatest strength.
I’m requesting books in Spanish and culturally responsive materials so that my students can see themselves and their communities reflected in what they read and learn.
These resources will help affirm their identities, build stronger language skills, and foster a deeper love of reading. With your support, we can create a classroom where every child feels valued, empowered, and inspired to learn.

Culturally responsive books and materials that reflect their backgrounds will not only foster a deeper love of learning but also affirm their experiences and build confidence.
