My Students
"Hi Ms. G! How are you?" "What are we going to learn about today?" This is some of the morning cheer and smiles that I am fortunate to hear from my students. I work with creative and eccentric upper elementary school students. Our school is a Title I school with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
My students come from diverse backgrounds with many challenges socially, emotionally, and financially.
Even with these challenges, my students come to school with a smile on their face, eager to learn and ready for the rigor of the school day. Everyday I look forward to coming to school to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which my students can thrive.
My Project
My students are in an ever changing world and learning has evolved so much! In our classrooms, we use a variety of resources to allow students to participate with their peers and do assignments independently. Students utilize white boards daily to work out problems, show their work, and organize writing ideas.
With new personal white boards and expo pens, this will allow students to utilize their resources for success in the classroom.
By having these supplies readily available for students, it alleviates the pressure on families to go out and buy supplies. We also need new binders to keep their work in one place where they can look back on and be proud of the things they have done.
