Help me give my students dry erase markers to use with their paddle whiteboards so they can answer questions quickly and I can see their understanding.

My Students

The students in my school are full of energy, wonder, and enthusiasm. They come from various cultures, speak different languages, and many of their families are struggling economically. They attend a culturally diverse school where seventy percent of the students receive a free or reduced-price lunch in the state of Washington.

Aside from the cultural and economic differences in our student population, you'll find that our amazing students are eager to learn and are trying to build successful lives that will be happy and productive.

My Project

My students need whiteboard markers to use with their whiteboards. I use individual whiteboards constantly in class and on Zoom to help engage ALL students in their learning. Students will show their understanding of the concepts by recording their thought on the whiteboards using the markers and then holding them up for me to see. Every student will be participating and I will be able to judge instantly what students understand. This allows me to adjust my instruction appropriately. The instant feedback really makes my instruction more effective. The best part is students see this as a type of game and love writing on the boards. Students will use these markers every day to check to show what they understand and what we need to go over again. With these markers, I can also ensure that every student is engaged with the content and actively participating in class.

It is amazing how such a simple tool can make a huge difference in a classroom and a students life.
