My students need a teaching cash register along with various other pretend play items and books in order to increase their understanding of money and its uses.
My students are wonderful young learners. They are entering school for the first time and are excited about school and learning new things. My students are positive, motivated, and super fun.
My kindergarten students are full of wonder, imagination, and they love learning!
They come to school ready to learn and are so excited about what the upcoming year holds for them. Watching my students grow throughout the year is the best thing about being their teacher for the year.
My Project
My kindergarten students will be learning about money very soon. For most of them this will be their first experience getting to know the coins, their names, and their values. Through dramatic play students will gain valuable experience and have fun at the same time. We will read several books about how to use money, the benefits of saving money, and how we can earn money.
I want to create a learning experience for my students that will engage them in pretend play while also increasing their academic knowledge.
Our dramatic play center will be turned into a store complete with a working cash register and functioning ATM. Pretend food will stock the shelves and students will be able to get hands on practice with how money is used for goods and services.
My students are excited about learning and this project will only increase their engagement. Learning about money can be hard for young students, but this project might make it a little easier and a whole lot more fun!
