This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Back to school is around the corner for me and I wanted to start the year right with some necessary supplies for a successful year. I haven't met my students for the 2019-2020 school year, but I know my 4th and 5th graders will be excited and nervous about school starting.

Giving my students the supplies to be successful will help build a great foundation for the school year.

I'm excited about this school year. This summer, I had some excellent opportunities for professional development and I am ready to to teach my heart out.

My Project

I can't wait to see my students with colorful markers to create poster to share thinking about books, articles and science concepts. The project items all are needed to continue some other projects I have had funded in the past. I began MakerSpace and robotic projects last year and the card stock and "big kid" scissors are necessary for "big kid" ideas.

The best part of a professional development training I attended this summer was listening to successful kids share their tips about how to be organized.

They talked about how folders and notebooks were a huge part of their success. I can't wait to implement the strategies I learned to help my students be successful.
