My students need a document camera so I can display worksheets and assignments in a more clear and enlarged surface. This will allow for interactive learning and teaching

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Teacher I can't see" "Where is it, I can't find it!" "Can you show me?"
This is the constant battle in my classroom. First Graders are visual learners. They need to be able to see exactly what they need to do. They need to see the assignment enlarged.
My students are racially and ethnically diverse students attend a Title I public school, and several of them are English learners.
Most of them are from an economically disadvantaged background and participate in the free lunch program at school. Every school year, I spend a lot of my own money buying them extra learning materials that my school cannot purchase.
My Project
A document camera, which in this century is considered an essential teaching tool, will dramatically improve the educational learning environment in my classroom. By using this device learning will come alive and become more interactive when students instantly see worksheets, math manipulatives, a test, a book page, or other objects and documents projected very clearly on the whiteboard. With the document reader I will be able to show specific details on photos, books, etc...by zooming in. Students will be able to share their writing pieces with their peers on the whiteboard. This will allow the peers to help the student edit his/her writing. AUTHOR'S CHAIR WILL COME ALIVE!!!!
My First Grade Students students are visual and hands-on learners.
A document reader will make learning more exciting and interactive. Students will be able to model to their peers how to solve a problem. The document camera will eliminate the cries of "Teacher I cant see!!!
