My Students

I have 28 students in my classroom. More than half of my students come from single family, low-income homes and are eligible for free lunches. However when they come to school, everything from home is left behind. I create an atmosphere where ALL children have an opportunity to grow and have the necessary supplies to be successful.

All 28 students come to school eager to learn and thirsty for knowledge each day.

For some school is the only thing that is consistent for them and I like to make sure that every child has what the materials to be successful in the classroom. I know that it only takes one teacher to make a lasting impression on a child, and it is my hope that that one teacher is me.

My Project

My classroom is fortunate enough to have been chosen as a 1:1 iPad classroom. However, it is challenging for my students to learn new programs or apps without being able to see what it is they need to do. Teachers are not given an iPad to use as a tool to teach students.

A teacher iPad would assist in taking my students learning to a new level.

Students learning could be taken to a whole new level by me being able to demonstrate new programs on the whiteboard through the mirroring app. A teacher iPad would be used to not only model material but also to differentiate programs for my students.
