I teach 4 - 5 year olds who are eager to learn new experiences. Some have never been away from their parents for over an hour a day and this is a new experience for them. Some of the students have received early childhood services at private childcare centers while others have been home with mom or dad.
We utilize a variety of sources in our instruction, however the more hands on the activity is, the more likely our students are to learn.
The students love playing interactive games and interesting topics on the computer to help bolster their English Language skills.
Because of the bond we have formed it has made learning in my classroom so much fun. I can see the children becoming kindergarten-ready with confidence.
First and foremost this will give all students a chance to learn basic skills with technology. Technology has taken over the world but how far has it reach truly ?
I want my students to have experience with technology to be successful and to know how to use technology to improve themselves and their knowledge base.
My students have a disadvantage because of lack of accessibility which could in turn affect their ability to remain current. With an additional computer in the classroom this will help me prepare more students with struggling subjects. My classroom is culturally diverse and with that each students requires diverse instructions. They are a fantastic group of children that really want to grow as individuals and as learners.
