My Students
I have an awesome group of students in both of my reading classes. My classes are special because of the many different personalities, which makes every learning experience extra meaningful. My class is also very active and loves to have fun.
They are extremely passionate and interested in learning, and appreciate and deserve all that I can provide for them.
We are in a lower socioeconomic neighborhood and school system and most students do not have access to technology, and if they do, it may not be up-to-date. The school system also cannot afford personal equipment for each student.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will greatly help each individual child. I believe that the students would greatly benefit academically, due to the enjoyment that they would get from interactively learning and sharing their work on the document camera. Every morning, we review and write down weekly vocabulary words, as well as phonics patterns and questions on the whiteboard. The pencils would be used to complete and copy the information being learned.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' ability to visually learn and share their work and learning with their classmates.
I have done extensive research and reading on interactive and hands-on learning in the primary grades, in which it has shown numerous benefits in student learning and overall development. I truly need your support to make this a happen. Thanks!
