My Students

My students are entering a new era of technology being used in a classroom. I am looking to help my students enter this new age of education and open them up to new the opportunities available to them.

My students study band in their music class.

They are some of the best students on campus and teach me something new every single day. They attend an extremely diverse school in every way. We are one of the most diverse schools in the large district we are a part of. The students are lucky to attend a school that supports the arts in the way it does.

My Project

My students need a short throw projector, a screen, a wall mount, and a replacement bulb that can be used in our crowded classroom. I have already acquired an Apple TV to use in my classroom along with an iPad to use. I have been using a traditional projector to project the images from the iPad to a screen on an old projector screen. The issue is that to set up the projector we have to move many students since there simply is not enough space in the room. With the purchase of the short throw projector I can give my presentations, show the instructional videos, and show students work without disrupting the flow of the class. The students can also connect to the projector and show their own work from their iPads.

We must change with the times.

Education is evolving and we as teachers know more about how students learn. We need to make sure we can use the technology available to us to help our students learn. I want to be on the forefront of educational technology and open the world of technology to the students.
