This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students enjoy being at school and what they enjoy most about it is P.E. and recess. Most of my students are good at playing sports. Some are not so confident when they play sports. I want to teach all my students to play basketball, soccer and other sports and games so that they feel confident and proud of themselves. THat is why I am requesting balls and other equipment.

Physical Education is important for young students since it builds self esteem, confidence and it gets them physically active which is important for their physical and mental development.

In a time when everyone owns a computer or a phone, on which they spend too much time playing video games or watching videos, its crucial to get kids outside playing games and sports. I want my students to make physical activity part of their daily lives and sports can help do that.
