My students come from a small town of less than 20,000 people, but have hearts big enough to love a million. Every day they are faced with challenges; whether they are from a military family just moving to town or they were born here and have attended multiple schools due to families just trying to make ends meet. One thing they all have in common is heart. They have a heart for each other. They care about one another.
"We are at our finest when we take care of each other." Katherine Center.
This is how our students come to school every day. They find ways to help others feel welcomed or help them feel like they are just as good as anyone else. Here in our small town you won't find fancy cars or expensive houses, but you will find a young generation of students that care for one another and want to make everyone feel special, no matter their background.
Our current basketball rims are damaged and the nets are either missing or get tangled when shot into. These new rims and nets will allow my students to "shoot" for the stars and fall in love with the game of basketball.
"Good, better, best - Never let it rest - Until your good is better and your better is best" - Tim Duncan.
I strive to teach my students that no matter what skill we are working on they can get better with hard work and focus.
Please help support my PE program and allow me to continue teaching my students that hard work pays off no matter how big or small their goals are in life!
