Help me give my students need flutes for our band class. Many of our flutes are old, mildewed, and tarnished. This will give the students new instruments to play.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are gifted, talented, and out-going. Whether they are learning virtually or in person during the pandemic, they are outstanding students. They are in my band, chorus, and music classes and they want to learn as much about music as possible.
They are well-rounded students who take honors classes and some even take remedial classes.
No matter the student, they all come together to create music and are new to performing for audiences.
My Project
Many of our flutes are old, mildewed, and tarnished. They have reached their limit on how many times they can be cleaned professionally and at school. It's time to slowly start replacing these flutes so that the students can play on quality instruments. Our music budget was unexpectedly reduced this semester. Now we cannot pay for repairs and new instruments. We must fundraise and depend on the community to try to support us. Replacing the pads of a flute can be just as costly as buying a new flute. With your support, I can provide new flutes for our students.
