Shining Little Stars

Help me give my students a listening center, pencils, an easel, and other items that will help build their fine motor skills, gross motor skills and comprehension.

My Project

This is my first time as an early childhood teacher. During my early years, my first desire was to become a nurse. However, I had the opportunity to volunteer in an early childhood classroom when my son began school. I was impressed with the early childhood environment and the teacher.

The teacher moved throughout the classroom from the various learning centers, were the students were actively engaged.

The students were independently exploring and learning in group academic activities.

Therefore, it is my desire to begin this 2024-2025 school year, with the necessary supplies. These supplies will provide my students with an exceptional beginning.

The listening center will allow students to develop their literacy skills, by being able to hear their favorite book being read aloud repeatedly. This task provides students the opportunity to build upon and learn new vocabulary words, which in turn helps with their speaking/listening/diction skills. The listening center will also help students improve their "focus skills" they will be able to focus and understand the lessons more clearly. Students will be able to collaborate together in groups to listen and engage with the material.

Early childhood program are the foundation where students learning begins, students are learning to use their fine motor/gross skills. which will consist of how to properly hold/use a pencil, scissors and paint brushes, while also learning to write their name, draw, paint, and create art masterpieces.

Students will be able to create mindful projects that will help impact their future art/STEM skills.
