As a fine arts and dual language public school, my students receive a two-way dual language model in English and Spanish as well as receive creative, arts integration learning opportunities into non arts classes. These stud ents come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students come to school every day with a smile on their face and an eagerness to learn something new!
As the English Language Arts teacher, my students have been able to build on their reading, writing and linguistic skills all while developing proficiency in the use of two languages. They are smart, creative and hardworking. They try their best to "Shine Bright"!
My Project
Flexible seating evolves the classroom space to meet each individual students’ needs. It will also impact how they learn, how they interact, and the overall classroom environment.
In my classroom, my students will take charge of their learning and choose the option that works best for them.
They will use stools, balance balls, floor cushions, and lap desks, throughout the day in their centers and learning stations. To keep the lear ning stations well kept and organized, the students will use the storage bins as a means to put away all the materials being used. This will be a fun, exciting way to keep my students engaged, focused and learning.
