My Project
Kindergarten is a very important year and students are learning so many new skills.
This project contains materials that will help to prevent summer learning loss for my students and provide resources and tools for families to work with their learner this summer.
I want to make sure that my students have what they need in order to be successful as they enter into first grade. This additional support is extremely important for my students with disabilities and my English Language Learners so that they are able to continue to meet grade level expectations as they continue on to first grade.
The pencils, sharpener and eraser will be given to students so they have the tools they need at home to continue their academic practice. The smaller pencil will strengthen my students fine motor skills and help them to write more neatly when they enter 1st grade. These items will be given to students as a gift so that their families will have everything that they need to support their child's reading development this summer. The coloring book and crayons are small gifts to remind families and students to have fun this summer as well.
