My Project
At our school, our girls' soccer team is not just a group of athletes — they are a family. These young women embody resilience, determination, and heart both on and off the field. They balance rigorous academics, work-study commitments, and soccer, showing up every day ready to improve and support one another. Their grit is inspiring, and their bond is unbreakable.
Our team plays through all kinds of weather, but Chicago’s unpredictable spring conditions often leave us cold, soaked, and uncomfortable.
Water-resistant jackets would make a huge difference — not only keeping the girls warm and dry during practices and games, but also promoting a unified, professional look that boosts confidence and team pride. When they look and feel like a team, they play like a team. These jackets will provide comfort and protection during rainy, windy, or cold weather to ensure the girls can stay focused on the game — not on the elements. They will promote unity and pride with matching jackets that give our team a professional, cohesive look, while also fostering a sense of belonging, motivation, and confidence — key components to becoming both better athletes and stronger leaders.
Our girls are student-athletes in every sense of the word. They manage demanding schoolwork alongside real-world work-study jobs to support their education and families. Despite these responsibilities, they show up with passion, determination, and a commitment to each other. They uplift teammates, cheer loudly, and never back down from a challenge — they are becoming future leaders, teammates, and role models in their communities. Every jacket represents a little more comfort, a little more confidence, and a whole lot of pride. Together, let us keep our team warm, dry, and ready to chase victory — no matter the weather.
