My students need headphones to allow for quiet learning on the computers and the listening center!

My Students
My students come from a high-poverty low-income community. They live in the poorest county of New Jersey. Some of my students' parents work 2-3 jobs to take care of the bare necessities of everyday life. While their parents want the very best for them, the extra things in life may not be able to be provided. About 75% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and cannot readily afford materials to help enhance their education.
My students have faced many challenges in their young lives where school tends to be their only constant.
In our 1st grade classroom, we like to keep things exciting. There are a lot of important skills that my 1st graders need to master before they are ready for 2nd grade. They love working with each other and learning new things!
My Project
We are in need of headphones so that students will be able to use them in the classroom without distractions or distracting others. Students will use our tablets independently and in small groups to explore bookmarked sites from the Internet which will help deepen their understanding of science and math content, use educational apps to supplement their learning in class, and do internet research and exploration for class projects.
The headphones will improve my classroom environment and our small group learning communities.
It will also help the other students in the room that are not using technology at the time to be able to concentrate on the task that they are working on.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
