My Project

Secret Stories can be a real game-changer for first graders as they navigate the sometimes-confusing world of phonics!

These engaging, memorable stories personify tricky letter combinations and sounds, making abstract concepts concrete and fun.

By learning the "secrets" behind why a digraph like "sh" makes its unique sound or why a silent "e" has such a powerful influence, students develop a deeper understanding of sound-spelling patterns.

This playful approach not only demystifies challenging phonics rules but also fosters a love for reading and writing as children unlock the codes of language with confidence and enthusiasm. Your donation will directly support these young learners in building a strong literacy foundation through this innovative and effective method.

These new headphones will significantly enhance our small group time by minimizing distracting background noise, allowing students to better focus on the targeted instruction and activities. By providing a more controlled auditory environment, the headphones will help individual students engage more deeply with the lesson, leading to improved comprehension and participation.
