Sheridan Star Learners Wear Uniforms With Pride

My Students

Students in the OceanView neighborhood of San Francisco are very diverse and many come from low socio-economic status. However, their families are hard working and very engaged with their children.

These inquisitive young learners are very compassionate.

The school is fairly small , our students love to learn, and are independent thinkers who are being prepared digital literacy in the 21st Century. These children exhibit happiness despite many setbacks they've already had in their lives. They spread joy and warmth.

My Project

These uniforms will help families that either cannot really afford the clothing or only have one outfit to wear throughout the week. Students are proud when they wear their uniforms and can learn without being judged by what they are wearing. No bullying takes place.

We have simple colors of white shirts and navy pants or jumpers, so the children feel safe and comfortable when they are learning to math, reading, writing or science.

When everyone wear uniforms it is easier for them to get dressed in the morning and get to school on time. Success is key to learning.
