Help me give my students something exciting to do at home while school is closed! Many families do not have internet access; 3D pens are a favorite among my students!
My students are fun, funny, interesting, and very, very curious. I have a wonderful mix of kids, running the gamut of diversity. I have 2 autistic students, many English Language Learners, some GATE students, and a homeless student. Despite their wide range of skills, needs, and backgrounds, there are many commonalities. Our favorite time is Friday morning. We put away our math and reading, and have STEM time. We code robots, visit virtual worlds with our Oculus Quest, we build, we battle, we make.
My Project
A favorite technology in my classroom is the 3D pen we have. Students crowd around it learning how to create art, solutions to problems, items we need around the classroom - they love it and are getting quite good at it!
During this Covid-19 school closure, I am fortunate to be able to connect with many of my students daily.
They are taking part in discussions, games, learning, and just sharing their daily lives during this time.
Unfortunately, many of my students do not have internet or computers at home, and cannot take part in our classroom community right now. I would like to be able to deliver to their homes a 3D pen for them to use during these long (rainy) days.
