My Project
By popular demand of the students, I am attempting to bridge our social studies content as the students request more WWII reading material! [and when it comes to books, my kiddos get what they ask for!]
Integrating "All the Light We Cannot See" into our reading and language arts curriculum will enhance my middle school students' understanding of World War II, aligning with their social studies education!
This novel, set during the war, follows the intertwined lives of a blind French girl and a German boy, providing a personal lens on historical events.
Through engaging with the book's rich narrative and complex characters, students will develop empathy and a deeper comprehension of the war's impact on individuals. Cross-curricular activities and discussions will link the story to social studies concepts, making history more relatable and meaningful.
This book study will foster a comprehensive and empathetic understanding of WWII, enriching students' learning experience and we would so greatly appreciate your help in nurturing our curiosity!
