Shedding Light on A Whole New World

My Students

The students involved in our drama program are excited to be working in partnership with Disney Musicals in Schools. This is our second year of involvement and we are expanding our program.

Our students are dedicated, inquisitive, creative, and hard-working.

We currently have 50 students participating in the musical. We will be producing four performances in​ our new multi-purpose room (two for our student body and two for our community). We have been working hard thus far, and are looking forward to receiving all of the materials necessary to put on our show.

My Project

This spotlight will help our students in many ways. First, it will provide them additional staging options to use our multi-purpose space more fully and appropriately. Second, this will allow us to train our students on lighting equipment so that our productions may eventually be entirely student run in our tech crew.

Building a sustainable and student run program is one of our primary goals in developing our drama program.

Having the opportunity to train these young individuals at this time will set our program apart from many others that shy away from allowing students this opportunity. Additional equipment will go a long way towards providing more students with the opportunity to shine.

We are very excited about the opportunity to grow our program through Donors Choose and hope to take advantage of the new resources for our production. Our production will take place on May 15th and 16th.
