My Students
Our school welcomes and celebrates children of all different backgrounds and nationalities. We have the most appreciative students. They are eager to learn and grow everyday. Our students are inquirers. Their curiosity drives their own learning and also my instruction. This year I have been blessed with the opportunity to follow my first graders up to second grade!
My students inspire me to be a better teacher.
They are thoughtful, hardworking and kind. These kiddos make me excited for our future.
My Project
Writing is one of my most favorite things to teach! I love that students can create beautiful stories about absolutely anything their imaginations can produce. I have provided my students with the skills, encouragement and desire to write. Now, I have to make sure they have all of the materials that they need to be successful. The blank books are a no brainer, but you may be wondering why we need the pencil sharpeners. In the past couple of years, I’ve noticed that students are able to create more detailed illustrations with colored pencils. With 23 children using colored pencils, it is very hard to keep them all sharpened without distracting others. I am hoping that if each student has their own pencil sharpener they will be able to continue with the writing process more quickly.
