Sharpening Our Fitness Skills With Skillastics

My Students

My third-grade students are bright, creative, and eager to learn. They genuinely love coming to school each day, ready to soak up all that they can and to participate in all the activities planned for them.

Students come to school each day with wide-eyes and eagerness.

Our school believes in teaching students through project or inquiry-based learning. We partner with the community around us and take our learning outdoors, as well as balance the learning in the classroom. It is a wonderful place to not only teach, but for students to grow.

My Project

My students saw a preview of the Skillastics Fitness Game and would like to have one of their own so they could be active for 60 minutes a day. They would like to learn about the different exercises to help them stretch and stay active. They thought the Skillastics game looked very fun and interesting, and they believe it would be motivating for them to play and be healthy.

Skillastics games will encourage my students to participate in physical activities with others, while learning about good character.

The Skillastics Character Is Cool game will teach students how to work with others in smaller groups. These games are played by dividing the whole group into smaller teams. Each teammate will have different physical ability levels, which will be an environment that lends to the practice of accommodating individual differences in another student’s skills. My students will benefit greatly from these activities physically, mentally, and socially!
