Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are some of the most hardworking and kind kids you’ll ever meet, they work harder than any most schools I’ve taught at in the past. Most of them come from lower-income households which normally wouldn’t allow them to do half the stuff we do with the marching band and the percussion ensembles i.e. trips, competitions, and festivals. We as a program try really hard to make sure that all the kids get the same experiences as other schools in our area.
My Project
This project is going to help me keep writing the music I need to keep my skills as a teacher and a composer sharp that way I can help teach my students better and make them the best they can be at the same time making myself the best I can be for them. Finale has so many great features aside from writing music they have drills which I’ll use to help myself to stay on top of my music theory game. This program will also allow me to rework older sheet music that I haven't been able to work on from older versions of the program and other music writing programs.
