Most of my students come from high poverty backgrounds. They get free breakfast in the morning and free lunch.
I have 35 students this year that absolutely love to learn, need a lot of attention and nurturing, and benefit from hands-on materials that will keep them engaged and focused.
They come to school with different experiences and a big range of academic abilities. Each child brings something special to the classroom. All of my students just want to be loved and treated with respect.
My Project
My students will benefit greatly with electric pencil sharpeners, pencils and Clorox wipes. These materials will be used DAILY! They are a must in all classrooms. I am asking for these supplies because our school sharpener doesn't work well and classroom time gets wasted waiting to use the sharpener.
The donations to this project will help decrease the time that it takes to sharpen pencils, therefore increasing learning time.
The Clorox wipes will help make our classroom stay clean and healthy. Healthy kids improve attendance! Improved attendance helps SHARPEN students' minds. My class will not only have sharpened pencils but sharp minds as well!
