Sharpen Our Pencils To Sharpen Our Minds!

My students need an electric pencil sharpener, pencils, erasers, glue, magnetic letters, magnetic word builders, and phonics flip books to improve literacy skills.

My Students

In our classroom, we have a hungry pencil sharpener. . . It cannot get enough of our pencils! A brand new pencil gets chewed to bits every time we try to sharpen a pencil! My class would love to have a new electric pencil sharpener to allow us to have nice pencils to write and learn with!

I have the incredible privilege of teaching a fantastic group of third grade students at a small, very rural school in Montana.

The school I teach at has a very diverse population of energetic students on a Native American reservation. Each day my students come to class ready to learn but are met with a lack of resources at our school to help them have the best education they deserve.

My Project

Here's how you can help these fantastic third graders: we need pencils, erasers, glue, and an electric pencil sharpener to help my students become better writers. Also, we are requesting magnetic letters and phonics boards so that students have a hands-on way of learning to read and write more challenging words. Donating money to this project would mean that all of my students would be given the resources they need and deserve to have the high level of education they should have with the supplies they desperately need. Funding this project would also increase instruction time for students since time would not be wasted on finding a sharpened pencil!

Your generous donations would allow my students to be the successful readers and writers that they are waiting to be because they would have the materials necessary to be successful!

Now we can ALL have a nice, sharpened pencil to express our ideas with! Thank you so much!
