Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has made tremendous gains over the past twelve years, moving from one of the lowest-performing schools in the area to achieving the honor of being named a California Distinguished School!
We are an example of a community of students, teachers, parents, and staff all working together for academic achievement.
Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their families to go to college!
The majority of my students are English language learners (ELLs) whose families are newcomers to America. They are highly motivated to learn and prosper.
My Project
My students are in need of a good pencil sharpener and motivational pencils to do their math and language arts work. They will be able to sharpen their pencils and be ready for lessons about multiplication concepts, fractions, measurement, geometry, writing, phonics, reading comprehension, and reading concepts.
The motivational pencils will motivate my students to do their best in math and language art lessons.
They will enjoy unique pencils that smell like different fruit.
