This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students like to have a sharp point on their pencil when writing either their notes or responses. I am requesting a sharpener because it is in dire need. We have donated and used sharpeners in our classroom that have broken down or have gone missing. Students need this to make them feel confident in their responses. There is just something about having a newly sharpened pencil that increases the likelihood of a better response. The goal of this project is to have two pencil sharpeners for each side of the classroom. Also, have a replacement for each of those. My students are special because these are students who have applied to be in the STEAM Magnet program and are eager to learn.
