Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting will make a big difference in my students' learning. I have many students who come to school hungry; the mini fridge in my classroom would allow me to store healthy snacks and extra milk to fill their hungry tummies. You can't learn when your stomach is growling.

Sharpened supplies help students do their best work and have pride in what they are doing.

Our supplies are community shared and no one wants the broken stubby pencil or crayon. Being able to sharpen things seems very minimal, but it helps students do their best work and perform better. These sharpeners go through a lot every day and it takes a lot to constantly replace them. Even though it doesn't seem like much, sharpeners are vital to a successful classroom.

All the items I am requesting will not only benefit my class of students each day, but they will also be able to be utilized by the after-school tutoring program I am involved with. I spend 2 hours after the school day doing STEM activities with 1-4 grade students. This project will benefit them all.
