My Students

If you had to choose, would you rather have a sharp or dull pencil? I say SHARP! My students have not yet embarked on their first day of 2nd grade, but I want to give them pencils that allow them to be sharp, imaginative, and hardworking students all year long.

My school is designated in the State of California as a Title I or a High Need School.

However, to my 2nd grade students, our classroom will be a special place that promotes creative thinking, exploration, and imagination. My students are dreamers, scientists, mathematicians, writers, readers, and so much more!

My Project

My students need a heavy-duty pencil sharpener that can keep up with them. With your support, our classroom will have sharp pencils all day long! Students will use their time collaborating with their peers, writing short stories, computing math problems, and more, instead of using class time to manually sharpen their pencils. While it is a basic need, it is so important and truly affects each and everyone of my students on a daily basis.

By supporting this project, you are helping our classroom run more efficiently and productively.

Having the right tools, such as sharp pencils, that are ready when you are, makes all the difference in the classroom!
