My students are from the inner city of Milwaukee, one of Wisconsin's most poverty-stricken cities. All of my students are special education students whose disabilities range from intellectual to emotional behavior disorders. My students are all in the general education classrooms, which means they need extra support from me in order to progress along with their peers. My students come to school daily ready to learn and try new things, no matter the obstacles in their way. My students are the most inspiring little people I know!
They often "lose" their pencils or need to sharpen them at the wrong time.
