Help me give my students fundamental classroom supplies, like a pencil sharpener and colored paper to inspire their love of learning and make everyday easier!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Kazi's classroom raised $554
This project is fully funded
My Students
Resilient and inquisitive minds inhabit our classroom! Our fourth graders thrive on a good book and love to tell stories throughout the day! They are creative and they love to share their work with each other. Some of our students have special needs and do awesome work when they are focused.
Our goal is to help streamline everyday and minimize interruptions with noisy and messy pencil sharpeners so our imaginative fourth graders can stay on task and be proud of the great work they publish.
We definitely have future artists, writers, and IT specialists in the making!
My Project
When we walk into our classroom, the bright, smiling faces are always ready to learn. We are in need of some supplies that will make our day more streamlined and efficient.
The first thing our students see when they walk in is the flow of the day.
We use sentence strips to highlight the flow of the day and these magnetic ones will make great use of our magnetic board and give us more space for student work.
Next, while we are learning, we are often interrupted by the need to sharpen dull pencils throughout the school day. Having a quiet electric pencil sharpener will minimize those disruptions and help our students get back on task. Our students love to publish their writing and nothing means more than to be able to show off your best work on exciting colored publishing paper. They get so excited when they get to choose the color they want. Can you hear the excited squeals already when they see the new colors of paper?!
Also, we have a Promethean Board in our classroom but it is often hard to share student work with each other from our seats. The document camera will allow our students to share their work with their classmates by projecting it onto the Promethean board. It will unlock a whole new aspect of sharing and student feedback and discussion.
Imagine the excitement when they're sharing their math solutions in their workbook and they can just display it! We all the know that technology changes the way students are engaged and these items will go a long way in making what we already have so much better!
