Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The transition to a hard concrete surface has been a difficult and even painful one for my students. We've lost our grassy play area and without appropriate, safe PE equipment designed for the blacktop, we have already seen one broken arm and two fingers put in splints this year.

This project is about more than just "play"—it is about safety.

We need equipment that allows these active kids to move, run, and sweat without the fear of injury.To balance our "creative chaos" inside the classroom, we also need organizational tools and headphones to help us find focus during independent work. Simple essentials like pre-sharpened pencils will keep our ideas flowing without the interruption of the pencil sharpener. By supporting this project, you are providing the tools for our scholars to be safe on the playground and focused in the classroom.
