Shark Week...At School!

Help me give my students an engaging shark themed week full of writing and math activities!

My Project

Beyond excitement and suspense, Shark Week offers amazing Math and ELA opportunties within the classroom! Students gain ecological insights to scientific discoveries, become familiar with conservation efforts, and discover fascinating information about sharks!

Shark Week is a popular annual television event that celebrates the fascinating creatures of the ocean-let's bring it into the classroom!!

Students will be engaged with super fun shark activities for a week!! They will create their own shark fact trading cards. Each student can choose a different species of shark to research and write about. The books requested in this project (including a POP-UP Book!) will be used to help locate facts. This is a great way for students to read non-fiction and fiction titles. We will end the week with a shark themed movie.

Thank you so much for considering this exciting project for my third grade students. I can't wait to start planning a week of shark themed activities!
