My classroom is full of excited, fun learners. They come ready for anything, and that means a lot because they all come from so many different lifestyles and home lives. We have a beautiful community of military families whose children attend our school. We have seen our fair share of children being reunited with a parent back from their time of service. Our school borders include an Indian reservation and many low-income neighborhoods. Our student population includes a high percentage of Hispanic students. Here, our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
My kids love to create, investigate, work together, and just learn as much as possible.
One of my favorite parts of this job, as a teacher, is creating learning opportunities for these eager children who come in ready every day. This year will be very different and important for creating a fun learning environment that is safe. Bring on the adventure!
My Project
Shark week is going to be great! We are going to not only play shark math games and read stories about sharks, but we will actually learn about real sharks of all kinds. It is going to be a week to remember!
Sharks are fascinating creatures that I can't wait to learn and talk about for a whole week! The items in this project will add to our fun week! The kids will have a couple of days of rotation activities and I want to have them play with kinetic sand and paint for some of them. The bracelets we will wear every day and the tablecloths, of course, will add the perfect atmosphere for a room transformation! Math is going to be very awesome this particular week when we incorporate sharks into each and every problem! So fun! I can't wait for shark week!
