My Students

My students attend a public elementary school in Illinois where 100% of our students come from low income households. We are continuing with remote learning into the second quarter. My students are having varying levels of adjustment and are very much missing the classroom.

My Project

This year I am teaching fifth grade for the first time. After teaching 2nd grade previously, my book collection needed some updating to cater to my older students. Currently we are still learning remotely, but I share books with my students daily through read alouds.

Even when I am reading a chapter book, my students at like to see the pages and follow along.

This document camera will help me share the pages of the book as we read. I am excited to be able to share even more books with them.
