This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

For my entire teaching career, I have always worked with urban, high-risk school children. Many of my students look to us for guidance and to help make life choices. My goal is to expose them to as much as possible to help them make good decisions.

My students are a positive, motivated, and dynamic group.

They have a great desire to know new things, participate in enriching activities, and realize they can do whatever they desire.

My Project

One of the tenets of science is being able to present well-written scientific reports. While my students have been provided with computers for their use during the school year, many do not have access to a printer at home.

My goal is to provide a printer and ink for my students to use in my class to help them develop writing skills.

By ensuring they are able to make a shareable form of their work, students are able to collaborate with one another and offer productive feedback to each other.
