Most of my students come from high poverty backgrounds. They get free breakfast in the morning and free lunch.
I have 32 students this year that absolutely love to learn, need a lot of attention and nurturing, and benefit from hands-on materials that will keep them engaged and focused.
They come to school with different experiences and a big range of academic abilities. Each child brings something special to the classroom. All of my students just want to be loved and treated with respect.
My Project
My students need a class set of Boogie Board writing tablets that will be used for writing in math and other subjects. Students can respond to questions and write answers on their Boogie Boards.
They are really fun and engaging writing boards that erase with a push of a button.
These boards are portable and come with a stylus. They are very easy to use.
They will be used daily to save on paper and pencils. Teachers get a limited amount of paper each school year. Feedback will be given immediately to my first graders as they respond to questions and directions. Most importantly, my students will have fun learning and become active listeners.
