it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am hoping to fund three new drums for my K-8 music class. I was lucky enough to have my first project funded through www.donorschoose.org and I received 3 of the best drums for young musicians!
Remo Tubano drums are used in classrooms all over the world and they certainly have made a difference in our music classes as our students get the chance to play these wonderful sounding instruments.
The only thing that could be better is...TO HAVE MORE OF THEM! If you remember the excitement the first time you were able to play a cool instrument in music class, you will understand how these young musicians light up when they see me bring out the tubanos in the middle of class! I hear them exclaim, "We get to play drums today?"
With 3 more of these drums in my classroom, this larger set would give more opportunities for them to play together and involve more kids on the drums EVERYONE wants to play. This project would fund two of the middle-sized tubanos (12") and one of the large-sized tubano (14") to bring our total number of tubanos to six.
