My Project
Learning to write can be tricky for some young learners, but modeling and shared writing experiences will be a great way to introduce writing. I would like to have a daily shared writing time on a carpet, where I will model writing on a chart paper. Sometimes I will share a marker to write a piece together with students. Students will have their journal for their daily writing.
We will celebrate our progress in writing by keeping a writing portfolio throughout the year. Each month students will select a piece from their journal to publish. At the end of school year we will compile all the writing into a book. I can't wait to see how proud my students will be next May!
