Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have collected plastic storage boxes with lids so that each of my gifted students will have their own. By buying basic classroom supplies in bulk in this project, like crayons, glue, and colored pencils, I can divide the items among my students so that each keeps their own supplies in their own box. By not sharing, hopefully we can cut down on the growth of illnesses like flu and strep.

I provide classroom resources for my gifted students to use in my room so that these children in such a low economic area do not have to purchase items for their regular classrooms and mine.
