Teaching is the most rewarding career there is. I am often asked how I am able to teach 22 Kindergarteners and my response is "that those little people teach me and inspire me as much as I do for them." My motto this school year is "Kindergarten: where we learn and grow together." My students and I are a school family. They are special because they look out for each other and build each other up: academically, socially, and emotionally. I am asking for donations that will engage, inspire, and help my 5 and 6 year old students thrive in these areas. Most of my students come from low income homes, where they do not have consistent life resources (food, clothing, shelter), let alone school resources (Books, paper, writing supplies) available to them. Kindergarten is the foundation for the rest of their academic path. My job is to make them successful now and for their future. I am up for the challenge. Thanks for your help.
My Project
Struggling readers' reading ability and motivation to read is greatly impacted by listening to books on CD. I want to increase my book on CD library, so I can reach more students.
Art is extremely important in education.
It is a way for children to share their imagination, talents, and creativity. I use paint, stamps, etc to teach letters, sight words, stories, math equations, and everything in between.
Kids love LEGO. I use LEGO bricks for team building in the classroom. Social skills are so imperative.
